No. Edgward works entirely through the mobile app. No physical installation, no wiring, no equipment to buy. The app is free to download on the App Store and Google Play.

In a life-threatening emergency (an assault in progress, a fire, a medical emergency), always call 117 (police), 118 (fire) or 144 (ambulance) first. Edgward complements the emergency services, it does not replace them. Edgward agents handle situations that do not require the emergency services.

Yes. The monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time, with no fee and no notice period. The annual subscription can be cancelled at its renewal date. No minimum term, no cancellation fee.

Yes. Businesses with several sites or a high volume of interventions benefit from tailored terms. Get in touch via the business form to receive a quote suited to your organisation.

Yes. The business platform lets you manage several addresses under one account (currently up to 2 sites).

The invoice for each intervention is available directly in your app. Your invoices can be found in your account area and exported as PDF.

Yes. Every intervention automatically generates a time-stamped report with the agent number, the arrival and departure times, and their observations. These reports are available in your account area and can be exported as PDF.

The municipality signs an agreement with Edgward setting the subsidy per resident and the eligibility criteria. Residents sign up directly in the app - the municipality handles no intervention operations. A municipal dashboard provides monthly budget tracking.

The standard model is generally a subsidy of CHF 50 per resident per year. Edgward only bills what is actually used. The municipality can commit to a maximum amount negotiated with our sales team.

No. Edgward is a 100% software solution. No infrastructure to deploy, no equipment to buy or maintain. Setup takes just a few days.

Edgward provides a complete communication kit: a letter to residents, a town-hall poster, an FAQ and a web banner. Our team supports you at launch and stays available for questions.

Your data (address, access instructions) is only passed to the agent at the moment an intervention is triggered. It is never shared between agents, nor sold to third parties. Edgward complies with the GDPR and the Swiss Data Protection Act (FADP).

Edgward shows the patrols available within 60 minutes of the intervention address. All partners are licensed security firms with trained, insured staff. You see the partner name, their price and the estimated response time before confirming the intervention.

Every agent operating through Edgward is employed by a security firm licensed by the cantonal authorities. They hold the legally required certifications (federal diploma or CFC security-agent qualification depending on the canton). Edgward verifies these certifications when onboarding each partner.

This sensitive information is encrypted in the app and only passed to the agent at the moment you trigger an intervention. After the intervention it stays in your encrypted profile. You can edit or delete it at any time.

No. Edgward is a platform connecting individuals and businesses with licensed private security firms. Edgward does not provide security services itself - it selects, contracts and coordinates certified professional partners.

No. The subscription covers access to the platform. You are told the exact price of each intervention before confirming it. There is no sign-up fee, no cancellation fee and no set-up fee.

Our partners freely set their intervention price based on your municipality, the date and the time. Time slots likely to see high demand may carry higher pricing.

The first month of subscription is free. Promo codes can also sometimes grant a period of access to Edgward at no charge. Any intervention requested during the trial is still chargeable, at the pricing shown when you place the order.
